RYA First Aid Course
What is cold water shock and how would you treat
hypothermia? The answers
to these questions and many more can all be found by attending this 1
day course. This course is ideal for those that require a first
aid certificate for use in a maritime
environment.
It is recommended for RYA instructors, Yachtmaster and Coastal
Skippers and Advanced powerboat candidates.
It is equally important for those that would like the piece of mind of
having some formal first aid training when afloat
This course can be delivered in a location to suit you needs and can be run over a number of evenings if required.

Duration – 1 Day (8 hours)
The HSE First Aid at Work (4 day) course covers all aspects of first
aid and is intended to train candidates in the initial responses required
when confronted by a person suffering from a wide range of injuries and
conditions.
You will consider incident management, diagnosis, summoning the emergency
services, providing treatment and dealing with the aftermath of an incident.
This course will also allow you to become an Appointed Person and work
under the First Aid at Work 1981 regulations but must be renewed every
3 years with a 2 day refresher.
